1st SPOT is a directory of personally reviewed web sites in hundreds of categories chosen on the basis of their informative value. Currently 1st SPOT has several hot areas: music, games, family life, the internet and personal survival, health and independence.

Our mission is provide a means for easily finding GOOD internet sites in areas of interest. Our site is intended to provide a "quality" directory experience as a starting point and reference in using the web. Quality derives from the richness of well-designed and informative sites in our directory and from the usability of the directory itself.

We believe in protecting the identity and privacy of our website users. We do not release any information that we collect about our users to any third party or agency with the exception that information requested by a duly constituted legal authority may be released to that authority to comply with the requirements of law, to protect the integrity of our site or to protect the safety of persons where we have reason to believe a danger exists.
